What Are Natural Diamonds
Natural diamonds are renowned for their rarity, prestige and timeless elegance. Formed over billions of years, these real diamonds hold an unrivalled beauty that makes them the ultimate symbol of love and commitment.
Why Are Natural Diamonds More Expensive?
Natural diamonds are incredibly rare and the most in-demand gemstones in the world. The quintessential symbol of beauty and luxury, natural diamonds have always been a highly sought-after stone, making them not only a perfect choice for gifting to a loved one, but a purchase that will almost certainly hold its value.
Can You Tell If a Diamond Is Natural?
Natural Diamonds have unique traits that are identifiable under magnification. For certainty when purchasing a natural diamond, we would always advise buying a piece certified by a reputable certifier (GIA or IG).
How are Natural Diamonds Graded?
Natural diamonds are graded based on the 4Cs:
- Carat – Weight of the diamond
- Cut – Determines brilliance; graded from Excellent to Poor
- Colour – Rated D (colourless) to Z (yellow/brown tint)
- Clarity – Assessing internal/external flaws
What is the best clarity for a natural diamond?
The very best grade for natural diamonds on the GIA clarity scale is Flawless (FL), meaning the diamond is totally free of any imperfections or spots, even under magnification. We offer a range of different clarities and colours for all of our rings, so that you can find the perfect ring for you while also keeping within your budget.
How much do natural diamonds cost?
The price of a natural diamond can be dependent on a number of factors. The most important of these being cut, clarity and colour. If you wish to find out more about a specific combination of these, please get in touch with us and set up an appointment.

Natural Diamonds vs Lab-Grown Diamonds
Natural diamonds are widely regarded as a more valuable investment due to their rarity, which gives them a higher resale value compared to lab-grown alternatives. They carry an enduring perception of prestige and luxury, often seen as a symbol of lasting value and authenticity. Additionally, because natural diamonds form over millions of years, each one possesses its own distinctive characteristics and inclusions, making every stone truly unique.
